Forest Flava Terms & Conditions

1. Accepting the Terms & Conditions
· Before you use the interactive features on Forest Flava, please read these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use the features, or contact Lyndsey (lyndsey@forestflava.org.uk) to discuss.
· These apply to anyone using the interactive features (podcasts and blogs) on the Forest Flava website.
· The Forest Flava website and its features are intended for young people aged 11-19 in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. If you are outside of these ages, this website is not intended for you.

2. Posting Information on Forest Flava
· In order to access some features of this website, you will have to create an account. When you create your account, you must give accurate information. You alone are responsible for the activity on your account, so keep your account password safe!
· All content posted by users is monitored before it can go live on the Forest Flava website. This will be done by Lyndsey. So, you may have a delay between posting something and being able to see it on the website. We will try to make sure that your information goes up as quickly as possible.
· Unless your submission is inappropriate, it should be posted without any problem. If it is not posted, you will receive a message telling you why this it has been denied.
· If links are shown to other websites outside Forest Flava, we will not be able to monitor the content on that site. We will try to remove anything inappropriate straight away. We would encourage you, when you leave the Forest Flava website and go to another one, to read the terms and conditions, and privacy policy of these websites.

3. User Submissions
· You alone are responsible for your own submissions and the consequences of posting them on Forest Flava.
· In order to post something on the website, you must be sure that you own the legal rights to it. If you created it- for example, a home movie, an mp3 of your band, or photos of you and your friends – then you own the legal rights.
· If you want to post videos, music or pictures that are owned by someone else, for example, music that is on sale from known artists, or pictures of celebrities, you must have their written consent and permission to do so.
· So, just to be clear, you must agree that you will not submit any material that:
· Is owned by someone else
· Is a false representation that could upset, offend or damage another person,
· Is unlawful, threatening, contains nudity, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, homophobic, encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense or is in any other way inappropriate
· Is an advertisement for a paid service or business


4. The Don’ts
· You can use the Interactive features on Forest Flava for your own personal use, but not for any commercial (money-making) reasons.
· You may never use another's account without permission. You must notify lyndsey@forestflava.org.uk immediately if you feel your account is being used without your permission.
· You must not use any personally identifiable information, including account names, outside of the Forest Flava website.
· You must not try to disable the security and monitoring features on the Forest Flava website. They are there to protect the young people of Waltham Forest from material that is not appropriate.

5. Taking Responsibility
· The content on the Forest Flava website (except user submissions), including the text, software, scripts, graphics, photos, sounds, music, videos, interactive features are licensed to Forest Flava and subject to copyright law.
· Forest Flava does not support the opinions or views expressed within any user submissions. Forest Flava website and the team that works on it disclaims all liability in connection with user submissions, or the offensive or illegal conduct of any third party.
· The Forest Flava team has the right to remove any user submissions without prior notice if their content is thought to be inappropriate. If you continuously post material that is inappropriate, we also have the right to terminate your access to the interactive parts of the website.
