Our Youth Offer

Here in Waltham Forest, we act on what young people tell us. One of the things you have been saying again and again is that you feel like there's just not enough to do for young people in our borough.

So, to try and make things better, we are developing something called the 'Youth Offer'. Basically, the Youth Offer is what it says on the tin - we are improving what is offered to young people in Waltham Forest.

A big part of this is about pulling together all the great things that you can get involved in. Not all young people know about what activities and opportunities are out there, and this is all about letting you know.

At the moment, we are working with lots of different young people to think through what this Youth Offer will look like, and the what the best ways are to make sure you know about and use the activities and services that appeal to you.

Statement of Ambition

We have big hopes for what the Youth Offer will mean for young people in the borough. It should:

- Let you know what's out there, and inspire you to get involved and to aim high!

- Bring you together with other young people from all over the borough who have the same interests as you!

- Make sure there's always something to do that you would want to be involved in!

- Get young people's involvement and achievements recognised and respected!

- Put young people at the heart of the decisions we take!

- Help to challenge negative thinking about young people!

- Help you to develop your skills and potential!

- Give you lots of up to date information about what's going on in your area and across London!

- Help you find out more about yourself through getting involved in new experiences with different people!

- Make sure all activities are in a safe environment that's fun for everyone!
