Exit 17 Project

Exit 17 is a great opportunity for young people between the ages of 16-22 years old to get involved in the music industry.

Exit 17 is a youth music project aimed at young people in the Waltham Forest area. We are looking for budding performers and enthusiastic event managers who are looking for the chance to play main stages at festival’s such as Lovebox or Walthamstow or to be involved in running such an event.

Exit 17 will consist of a youth events team and a number of young musicians who will work together to create two live shows at Rough Trade East and Walthamstow Festival. Some of the young musicians will also get the opportunity to play at Lovebox and Underage Festival.

Exit 17 is free and is open to anyone who is interested in music and the events industry aged between 16 – 22 and live in the Walthamstow area.

‘Kickz’; Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s national programme for young people launched at Kelmscott Leisure Centre, Walthamstow, on the 8th of April 2009. The project boasts partnerships with almost 40 professional football clubs’ community teams from across the country, as well as police forces and local authorities. Launch of the Waltham Forest Local Involvement Network

Writer and award-winning comedian Angie Le Mar (‘The Brothers’, MTV Base) celebrated young designers in north east London at the launch of the Waltham Forest Local Involvement Network (WF LINk) on Wednesday 8th April 2009. WF LINk is new government initiative to enable local people, communities and voluntary and community groups to have a greater voice in the way adult health and social care services are commissioned and delivered across the borough.
